It’s going to be cold with a chance of clouds in your room. No, no, you heard correctly, a chance of clouds..in your room.
What sounds right between a midsummer nightmare and a bad joke is actually neither (maybe the first, but fear not!). In fact, this terrifying – beautiful ? – idea has developed in the name of Art. The floating cloud installation by Berndnaut Smilde is an actual cloud like thing in a room.
“‘You could see the cloud as a sign of misfortune. you could also read it as an element out of the dutch landscape paintings
in a physical form in a classical museum hall. At the same time I wanted to make (for once) a very clear image, an almost cliché and cartoon like visualization of having bad luck: ‘indeed, there’s nothing here and bullocks, it’s starting to rain!” Berndnaut Smilde
I have nothing to add. Maybe one thing- this pet magic is called Nimbus.
( the whole project here)
Reminds me of the short story The Cloud Sculptors of Coral D by J.G. Ballard.
